All Kinds of Fun!

Here is my Midweek Challenge card for this week. The Challenge was to create an encouragement card. I like how this card turned out, however, looking back I would have laid my flowers out a little differently. Originally, I just had the one large flower but thought that wasn't enough. I added the 2 little flowers later. I wish I could situate them a little differently but that ATG adhesive is stuck for good! The paper for this card and the two to follow came from a clearance Recollections pack at Michaels that I scored for $0.99! I've made 10 cards from the pack so far and I've barely made a dent!

Sketch #129 and Mid Week Challenge: Complimentary Colors

They just keep coming! I am still working on my pile of Christmas cards, all made from 2 boxes of card bases from the Hobby Lobby's Paper Studio line. I have over 40 completed and I am a little weary of working with these same papers. :) I was thankful for Wednesday's challenge to shake things up a bit!

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I have an autumn birthday and I love everything about the season. Here is my complimentary colors mid week challenge contribution. So cute!

Papers: Colorbok Deluxe Textured cardstock, Recollections Halloween paper pack
Die Cut: O'Scrap by Julie Young
Rickrack: Stampin' Up Ribbon Originals Pigtails

Mid Week Challenge: Christmas & Winter

I have been on a card making spree! This is the first time I have made multiples of the same card for OWH. Usually my cards are a one time deal. I like to think that the person receiving the card is getting something truly unique. The downside to this way of doing things is that I make very few cards overall. I was excited to see this week's Christmas challenge because last year I scored 100 Christmas card bases and envelopes from Hobby Lobby for next to nothing. So I went all out and make lots of cards this week (at least for me!) So far I have made almost 40 cards this week. Considering I've only mailed in 80 cards total since January this is really big for me! I just cut up some of the cards to make other cards. I think I am going to end up with about 70 completed cards from the 100 bases. I am very pleased with that and I will still have the 30 extra envelopes.

One Down, 21 to Go!

This is my first card from the recent Bloghop! When I saw it I knew it was one I wanted to try out. I made mine our standard A2 size by adding the border on the left. The neat thing about this is that this was the sketch I wanted to try first and it was featured on the blog where my comment was selected to win a prize! I have never won before! Isn't that neat?

Our Daily Bread Design's July Challenge: Cool Colors

Cool Colors~ Warm Flames!
I have been wanting to create this card for the last 6 weeks! Back in May, Hero Arts hosted a tutorial on creating this great card. I loved this idea but lacked the two necessary stamps. I tracked them down on ebay and at the Hobby Lobby and went to work.I just love it!

Paper: From Stash
Stamps: Hero Arts (how perfect is that?) Polka Dot Ribbon and Stampabilities
Inks: Versa Magic Thatched Straw, Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid and Lavender

Mid Week Challenge: Anniversary Cards

This is my very first Anniversary card. I struggled with this challenge because, despite the size of my stamp collection and cricut options, I did not have an Anniversary sentiment I wanted to utilize. I didn't have any stamps at all and only one cricut option. I also couldn't find anything online I wanted to use either. Finally, I thought of simply printing out the text you see here. On the outside it says, "Celebrate..." and on the inside it reads, "...Us!". I am really happy with the result. I had seen the textured butterflies on another card on Pinterest and chose to use those here, too.
